Abstract

Tenacity affects on the internal cognitive system of human , is emotion to int errupt
human objective and corr ect judgment . Tenacity is analyzed according to Walker &
Avant¡¯s method to make a theoretical framework for nursing. Upon the concept analysis,
subject, binding, dependence, and egoism are identified as the defining characteristics of
tenacity. Each defining attribute of tenacity in this study means as follows.
1. Although diversible, there is necessarily subject.
2. Printing subject on mind is obstinate and persistent.
3. Human life is independent , and depends on the subjects.
4. Is bound and restricted by the subject
5. Being self- cent ered judgment rather than for subject , tenacity is egoistic.
Therefore, if human life can be gotten out of tenacious state, can carry on much more
healthy life in physical, psychological, social and spiritual ways. It is necessary to develop the measuring instrument of tenacity including the defining attributes identified in this study and the future study to apply this concept to nursing practice.
